Re....DO IT AGAIN!

So, where do you put your cold stuff when you get home with groceries? Milk? Cheese? Grapes? They go in the refrigerator. Right? Ok so they are being re...frigerated...correct? So was it being frigerated the first time at the store? Why is it a refrigerator and not just a frigerator?
